I realized that I had all my mbsync channels backwards!

A friend of mine refuses to help me learn how to prompt, so I went digging for myself and found this post: {{ insert link }}, and realized there is some use, but I don't think everyone wants to be that instructional. Telling someone how to do it, is not the same as doing it yourself. I think of it as trying to instruct a very intelligent child now to make a combustion engine from scratch. Yes it can be done, but the level of detail and context you would have to give the child is voluminous to say the least. Oh, they might get it, right multiple times, but in several different ways. And they might lie so convincingly that you might actually try to build the engine yourself, only to find out that it doesn't actually work, but only after all the time and effort it took to get it built, because you thought that this genius child might actually be on to something that was beyond your many many years of skills and expertise. That child still needs an education.nilnil[^fn:1]

Finally got prestashop installed.

Hard Drive prices are up, which sooks because I have to replace one of mine and I am not a millionaire.

Calendar and Tasks. Calendar, yes. Tasks? whole different story. As you know I use org mode, which is better than your favorite program by like 1000 yards per season. Yes! SPORTS! the only issue with it is the mobile experience. I am not a mobile first person, so it's a mild issue, not a major problem. On IOS I used b..something or other and it was cool with a webdav backend. Now I use orgzly revived, which is also cool, but not as good as the IOS app I was using… b… whatchamacalit. Anywhooz, thank goodness for webdav, because I can sync back and forth with no issues. The other part was getting the files to match because I mostly edit on my laptop locally, then sync with rsync, which is pretty standard. I used to use syncthing, but meh. Anyway, I setup a plist that syncs upon file save. The last part was syncing what I do on mobile. for that I setup a cron job that will rsync back to the laptop every few hours. No fuss no muss once I thought it out.

Talking to my brother about #AI. He ain't in tech, he lives in the real world. He was attacked by AI Hype but because he is a logical person, couldn't figure out what he would use it for, as he is not in tech. I think the real question is… why can we not get these nerds to back up off us? Is poisoning society, the earth, arts and everything else you get your hands on not enough?

[^fn:1]: speaking of education, why does Greg Abbot only want rich white kids to have one?
