<![CDATA[

I thought out some things

I'm thinking once again about consolidating storage. I have two bad disks on two different servers, so it might be the time. Disk prices are high as hell, so I'm reluctant to do the full boost because I should buy them in pairs because all my storage is mirrored.
If I combine the storage... or just drop some storage because I don't need it, that might solve some issues, then I can free the server that it's running on for other things, like more virtualization. I will give it a think

do you have to be a gangster?

I thought of Daz Dillinger. I thought, there was a guy that was really being into a gangster, even though he had that mustache. But it made me think about the dudes who don't have to be a gangsters but choose to. Willingly choosing a life associated with crime is different than criming because you hungry, dirty and ain't got a solid place to stay. And as for those that rapped about it or whatever, they have a vested interest in selling you and image that you will be amused by and even think is worth emulation. Bravo to them on their marketing, it's amazing. All while taking no responsbility for the results of trying to sell as many records as possible. I don't know why no one ever thought that they could do gangster music and not be involved in the streets. This is rappers keep getting shot over the shet they say, and gangsters keep rapping about the shet they do, then get dead or in jail. Just seems like a whole lot of needless boolshet so that a few performers can get paid. Though once again, it ain't all their fault, record companies make it much easier for this kind of ignorance to be spread than they do anything that would be helpful.

Side note, not every woman should be a whore.

If you are walking and your knee pops, is that bad?

I wonder why I am having so much trouble keeping a handyman. like all 3 that I have found, do the job and then get ghost. I got a whole list of things that I either don't have time to fix or cannot fix myself and I'm trying to get money to someone that does know how and they like, nah. One left my patio screen door on the side of the house never to be seen again, even though I called him multiple times, so see what the status was. The other just stopped answering the phone. Perhaps it's because I'm a dude and most of them are dudes. Every women I know has zero issues with keeping their handyman around, but whatever.

slowly rebuiding and reconfiguring

Gonna try and connect #patchmon to #checkmk. Should out to #checkmk for letting me know that I had bad disk on two of my servers. Zabbix and smartctl was an ongoing struggle. Just like docker, which was pretty simple with checkmk.

The thing I really need to do is get my saltstack server up and running again. I have seen some that will use ansible to bootstrap saltstack. Sure... why not? and along with that I will probably redo one of the servers which had some write errors in the usb boot mirror. write errors on both disks, so will probably break the mirror and just use the one disk, they are cheap and easily replaceable so it's not real big deal, just in the time it takes to get the case off and the os installed. OR, I could just try to move the existing boot disk around and let the mirror be broken, by keeping the mate on stand by for the future.

got #seerr going and got most of the libraries synced that was an easy win.

switching from #nginxsubproxy/subsubmanger/sub to plain old nginx has paid dividends already. Just moved the existing configs over. It also allowed me to finally start using acme.sh. when I would try to use it in the past I didn't have the patience to learn the syntax, but either the documentation has improved, I found better sources for documentation or I just had the time. either way, I'm looking forward to many years of hassle free certs from now on.
Along with that I setup split brain DNS, and I think that's working, but I haven't really checked.
ttrss container is being a pain in the buttocks. something about the configuration is preventing it from seeing the container... I changed the port in the config, so maybe somewhere it's hard coded and I have to use the port thats specified. I'll try and see if it solves my problems.

was it a waste of your time?

I said this weekend that you can be proud to be an American and believe in the principles of America, even though the people who talk the most shet about it do the most to make you feel as though you are not American at all. Christian Nationals

Hypocrisy: prejudice with a halo. – Ambrose Bierce
